We'd like to give a huge thank you to Global Medic and Procter and Gamble for this amazing donation of soap, shampoo, personal products and toothbrushes! It gives us so much more to add to our Christmas bags for the unhoused! Included was more than 200 of each product which is the number of bags we are putting together this year!
With thanksgiving coming up, ANOTH decided to donate enough money to help the Scott Mission feed 25 a full thanksgiving dinner. Scott Mission has been helping people in need since 1941 and we thank them for their kindness.
ANOTH is happy to say we have purchased 500 First Aid Kits that we are currently handing out to the unhoused, which has been greatly received. They are a 20 piece kit including all the basics needed and are the perfect supplement to the new and improved Christmas bags we will be handing out this year.
ANOTH would like to give a big thank you to a prominent business in Lindsay Ontario that has donated 3000 bottles of hand sanitizer to us which we have already handed out to encampments as well as to A Place Called Home in Lindsay and One City Peterborough's Outreach program. We've been told that there are 3000 more coming our way!
ANOTH is providing a 5 Gallon Hot/Cold drink dispenser to both A Place Called Home in Lindsay and One City Peterborough. For each we are also including 1000 8oz cups and 24 two pound bags of hot chocolate for the winter.
ANOTH would like to thank the wonderful people at Creating Alternatives for all of the incredible work they do with so many people!
ANOTH was lucky enough to be able to provide an ice cream truck for the day to these incredible people so we thought we would share their beautiful smiles with you!!
Everyone enjoyed the ice cream, but they had their very own dance party that day as well which I'm sure was the highlight of the day! They rocked the place!
ANOTH president proudly handed a cheque to Patricia Chan of a donation of $100,000.00 USD to Spay Panama. They are an organization that travels from town to town in and around Panama providing spaying services for only $15.00 per cat and $30.00 per dog! On top of that they will not turn away someone that doesn't have the money to pay! This thank you letter is from this group of wonderful and passionate people and we are so grateful for the work that they do!
ANOTH also presented a cheque to the San Jose de Malambo Orphanage for over $216,000.00 USD. They are a non-governmental, non-profit organization that was founded on May 15, 1890. The various programs of this institution focus on providing children and adolescents whose rights are violated with the attention they require and thus raising their standard of living.

We were very happy to provide a good number of the unhoused in Peterborough and Toronto with Solar Lanterns! These lanterns can be charged via a plug or the solar panel on top of the unit. They have a super bright flashlight end and an adjustable lantern as well as a USB plug to charge accessories.
We donated a good supply of dog and cat food to the Omemee Food Bank in time for Christmas and we received this wonderful Thank You Letter from them!

For the 2022 Holiday season we were able to put together 100 Christmas Bags for shelters!
Each bag included a winter hat, gloves, socks, emergency blanket, a tin or box of cookies or chocolates and for those people that had a dog, we included a good amount of dog food and a roll of poop bags! We are hoping to expand this to 500 hundred bags next holiday season!
We were very excited to be able to drop 50 of our Christmas bags off to the Fred Victor mission! They have helped out so many people AND their pets over the years that we were proud to be able to be even a small part of that! A big thank you to all of the wonderful people there for all of the amazing work that you do!
We dropped off 20 of our Christmas bags to A Place Called Home. This is an incredible shelter helping families and individuals without homes in their new facility which is a safe, clean, understanding and loving environment.
When you speak to people that have been helped by this organization, you can truly hear the sincere appreciation and love they have for them. A big thanks to all of the wonderful people that make up this amazing organization!
We made another recent purchase of almost 700lbs of dog & cat food that we were able to give out to various organizations to distribute to the people and their pets that need it!
The organizations include the Fred Victor Mission & A Place Called Home Shelter as noted above as well as the Peterborough Pet Food Bank and the Omemee Food Bank, all of whom do an exceptional job in getting food to the people and pets that need it! Thanks to all of you for your time, dedication and devotion!
A big shout out and thank you to the Purina Company for sending us six coupons for free dog and cat food for a total of up to 360lbs of food that we were able to get out to various Food Banks before Christmas. This was a great addition to the already large amount of pet food we have been able to provide! Thank you so much for your donation Purina!
ANOTH was able to provide 25 of our Christmas bags, sandwiches and medical supplies to people in the Peterborough encampment.
